20% women are addicted to drugs in Pakistan According to a U.N Report, 6.7 million people in Pakistan are addicted to drugs. Out of them, 20% are women.
Joint Secretary Narcotics Control Division, Zulqurnain Aamir was asked the causes of increasing number of drug addicted people in Pakistan. He told that the people living in countries with low resources and abundant problems experience mental tension. Pakistan is one of such countries. That’s why, the number of drug addicted people here is on increase.
