LSBF Prep Centre for ACCA and Global MBA reach 100,000 followers on Facebook

As an institution passionate about providing first-class academic support and expanding the access to global education worldwide, LSBF is proud to announce that both of its free online platforms, the LSBF Prep Centre for ACCA and the LSBF Global MBA, have reached the 100,000 followers milestone.
With an innovative approach, the platforms were launched in 2010 on Facebook to give users from around the world free access to a high quality e-learning platform and comprehensive academic content. In less than two years, the platforms presented a very strong and steady organic growth and the content has always been very well received by users.

LSBF Prep Centre for ACCA: Extra support on exams

LSBF developed the Prep Centre for ACCA app as a tool to help students through their exam preparation with the very best of ACCA tuition in addition to academic support. The app provides free video lectures, notes, podcast exam tips, discussions and past paper analysis.
The app started as a support tool for LSBF students but has grown exponentially during the past year and now offers valuable information and exam support to any ACCA student worldwide for free. On the page, students can take part in weekly study plans, in which they can watch videos on specific papers, discuss exam questions, and take part in conversations about the main topics. During the revision season, the app provides extra support with exam-focused content.
Rob Sowerby, Director of Professional Training at LSBF, says: "At LSBF we go further and aim to give students the best support. Our mission with LSBF Prep Centre is to become a reference point to anyone who studies and works in the accountancy market. The page has achieved many milestones in a very short period of time and we believe this success is due not only to the excellent content we provide, but also to the opportunity that students have of sharing knowledge and exam experience with each other.”

LSBF Global MBA: Expanding access to education

On the Global MBA Facebook page, students can also follow study plans alongside students from around the world.
Powered by LSBF’s e-learning partner InterActive, the Global MBA app offers hundreds of hours of free study resources available to all users, including 80 hours of high definition video content. There are also panel analysis, interviews, supporting materials, interactive case studies and forums. On the Global MBA Facebook page, students can also follow study plans alongside students from around the world.
By launching the LSBF Global MBA at the end of 2010, London School of Business and Finance became the world's first educational institution to introduce the ground-breaking “try before you buy” approach, reducing the barriers surrounding traditional postgraduate study.
This approach gives two unique advantages: it means that students interested in learning business skills can do so from some of the best business lecturers, through an innovative and familiar delivery channel at no cost; and secondly students considering going for a formal MBA qualification can test both the quality of the product and their aptitude and interest before any financial commitment.
LSBF Vice-Rector James Kirkbride says: “LSBF Global MBA is a unique learning platform which gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in obtaining their MBA, allow time for them to save for tuition, and provide them with the chance to study around their existing schedule. Since we launched the app, we have always been very impressed with how well it was accepted by students worldwide. We are proud to having been able to create this successful online project which makes education accessible to so many students around the world.”
