Boom Boom Afridi made his debut in 1996 and in his first innings (second match) against Sri Lanka at Nairobi he scored the fastest 100 (of 37 balls) of ODI cricket which is still a record. Shahid Afridi has retired from Test match cricket. Afridi played 27 Test matches and scored 1716 runs and bagged 48 wickets.
Shahid Afridi played the vital role in Pakistan T20 World Cup victory in 2009 as he scored fifties in semi-final and final against South Africa and Sri Lanka respectively.
